🤸🏻‍♂‍ The wonderful weekends in nature organized by SiculoTrip and Astrid Natura are back, this time in collaboration with Bosco Pianetti, an entire weekend to discover the beauty of one of the most beautiful naturalistic parks in Sicily, the Madonie Park in the Piano delle Fate area.
☀️ A splendid opportunity to spend 2 days immersed in nature in the company of your family and many friends, 2 fantastic nature excursions for children and adults and a night excursion to discover the world of birds of prey and other small inhabitants of this enchanted forest, all between nature, relaxation, good food and lots of fun.
🚩 Two days full of naturalistic and hiking activities, in which expert guides from FederEscursionismo Sicilia will accompany you to discover some of the most beautiful areas of the Madonie Park, where landscapes, smells and colors will make you savor the beauty of this enchanted place; and for the little ones it will be a moment of pure contact with nature, two days in which they will learn about their land and the beauty of its places, they will learn a lot about the history, geology, flora and fauna of these splendid areas, they will have the opportunity to hear and if they are lucky, even see, the nocturnal birds of prey that populate this area.
Two days to experience full fun in the company of your family and many friends. 
Plan:
🟢 Saturday 5 November
10.00 am: excursion to Grotta Grattara, abbey and forest of San Giorgio.
The meeting point is in front of the pine forest of Grotta Grattara in Gratteri (meeting point google maps https://bit.ly/37qavH8).
5.00 pm: arrival at the host facilities (Bosco Pianetti and Feudo Galefona), in the Piano delle Fate area (near the sanctuary of Gibilmanna); https://www.boscopianetti.it/ and https://www.feudogalefona.it/
8.00 pm: dinner at Bosco Pianetti;
9.30pm: Evening outing for listening activities and recognition of nocturnal birds of prey with the Playback technique.
🟢 Sunday 6 November:
08.30 am: breakfast;
09.30 am: guided excursion to the Bosco di Piano delle Fate in search of the monumental trees that surround the host structure with identification of the flora and fauna present;
1.00 pm: return and lunch at Bosco Pianetti;
4.00 pm: end of service.
🚗 HOW TO GET THERE
From Palermo follow the E90 to Buonfornello to merge onto the SS113 and follow the signs first for Lascari and then for Gratteri. Once in the town, head towards the Grotta Grattara park in via Parisea.
⛰ ROUTE DESCRIPTION
After leaving the cars on via Parisea in front of the Grotta Grattara park, we will immerse ourselves in the pine forest to reach the cave full of charm and legends. We will then climb along a short ridge from where we will enjoy a magnificent view of the gulf of Termini Imerese and Palermo. We will then head towards the ancient Abbey of San Giorgio and enter the forest of the same name and, after passing the lush cork grove, we will reach the spectacular panoramic point above Collesano where we will have lunch. We will finally travel along the dirt road backwards to Gratteri and overlook the town from above and then reach the car park.
Lunch is packed and paid for by the participants.
👕 We recommend clothing suitable for the season, anticipating the different weather conditions that may arise during the day. Layered clothing is the optimal solution for any condition: t-shirt with short sleeves, fleece or sweatshirt, windbreaker or k-way.
🥾 Trekking shoes are strongly recommended and for children trousers or jeans (not leggings) and flat or non-waterproof shoes are not recommended.
🔴 Scheduled excursions may be canceled or subject to changes in the event of adverse weather conditions and/or due to any technical or safety problems.
💪🏼 HOW TO PARTICIPATE

💰🏨 The cost per person for food and accommodation (as per program) is:
65 euros for adults,
50 euros for children aged between 4 and 12 years,
free for children under 4 years.
At the time of booking, a deposit is required to be paid to Bosco Pianetti; the same will be fully refunded in the case of cancellation made within 7 days from the start date of the weekend, under penalty of loss of the same.
💰🥾The cost per person for all excursions (as per program) is:
20 euros for adults,
10 euros for children aged between 6 and 12 years,
free for children under 6 years.
The participation fee for the excursions will be paid on site upon arrival at the host facility.
👍🏼 The weekend will be confirmed when at least 8 participating families are reached and the payment of the deposit to Bosco Pianetti will be required only after the minimum number of participants has been reached.
☝🏼 The cancellation of one or more excursions due to adverse weather conditions does not entail the refund of the deposit paid as a deposit if you decide not to participate in the weekend anymore. In this case, only the amount relating to excursions that will not be possible due to weather conditions will be refunded.
✔️What is included:
Overnight stay + full board at the host facilities (Saturday dinner – breakfast – Sunday lunch); NB dinner and lunch take place at the Bosco Pianetti facility.
Federescursionismo naturalistic guides for the entire duration of the field activities;
❌ What is not included:
Transport;
Extras not included in full board and personal expenses.
Accommodation at the host facilities is in double, twin, triple, quadruple or quintuple rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and depends on availability at the time of booking.
🙋🏻‍♂‍Participation in individual excursions It is also possible to participate in individual excursions without an overnight stay in full board. Any cancellations must be communicated at least 3 days before the event date. The participation fee for the single excursion will be paid on site at the time of departure.
❗️N.B.: For safety reasons, bookings for individual excursions will be closed once the maximum number of participants has been reached.
